About the Garden

Located on Burt's Pit Road in Northampton,MA, just west of the former Northampton State Hospital, we have 7 acres of land dedicated to Community Garden. The site is improved with a tool shed, fencing, shrub hedges, a composting area and running water.

There are 420 plots measuring 20' by 20'. Registration is usually held on the last Saturday in March. Call the Recreation Department to confirm date and time.

The Garden is managed and maintained completely by gardeners. Each person contributes a minimum of 2 hours per year.
